On June 24, 2025, the "Key Preparation Technology for High Silicon Oxygen Fibers and Their Products" scientific and technological achievement appraisal meeting organized by the China National Textile and Apparel Council was successfully held in our company. The meeting was jointly completed by Donghua University, Linyi Haoquan Silicon Technology Co., Ltd. and other units. An appraisal committee was composed of authoritative experts from universities, research institutes and industries to evaluate the project. After inspecting the production site, listening to reports and questioning discussions, the committee unanimously agreed that the overall technology of the project has reached the international advanced level, agreed to pass the appraisal, and recommended accelerating the promotion and application.

1、 Technological breakthrough: fully electric melting furnace process and high stability modification technology

The project team innovatively used physical and chemical modification methods to successfully design trace element modified SiO2-Na2O binary high silica glass fiber precursors, and developed a new process for preparing all powder and all electric melting furnaces, greatly improving production efficiency and material properties. By using highly stable and easily acid washed surface coating modification technology and high-speed fiber forming technology, the problems of low acid washing efficiency and insufficient fiber strength in traditional processes have been solved. In addition, the project innovates the waste acid gradient regeneration composite leaching technology and precision heat treatment enhancement technology, achieving low-carbon and high-quality production of high silica fibers. The SiO2+AI2O3 content remains stable at over 98%, and the temperature resistance performance reaches over 1050 ℃.

2、 Industrialization landing: Stable operation of production line with an annual output of 3000 tons

At present, the project has built a high silica fiber production line with an annual output of 3000 tons, which operates stably. The products are widely used in fields such as firefighting equipment, high-temperature protection equipment, and fire prevention for new energy batteries. Among them, the developed high silicon oxide fiber products have excellent non combustible high temperature resistance characteristics and have been successfully applied in underground garage protection warning, energy storage power plant fireproof blanket, industrial kiln insulation layer and other scenarios, especially in the fire prevention and control of ternary lithium and lithium iron phosphate batteries.

3、 Innovative achievements: independent intellectual property rights and standard guidance

The project has formed a complete intellectual property system, with a total of 20 authorized invention patents, 10 utility model patents, participation in the formulation of 1 industry standard, and approval of 5 software copyrights. The head of the appraisal committee pointed out that the project has significant innovation in component design, process optimization, and waste acid recovery, which is of great significance for promoting green manufacturing and high-quality development in the industry.

4、 Expert evaluation: International advanced level, significant social benefits

Academician Sun Jinliang, an expert of the appraisal committee, said: "This project has broken through the technical bottleneck of large-scale production of high silica fiber, with stable product performance and broad application prospects, especially in the field of new energy protection, achieving significant technological breakthroughs." The attending experts unanimously believe that the technological achievements have international competitiveness and suggest further expanding their applications in high-end fields such as aerospace and military protection.

5、 Industry university research collaboration: promoting technology transformation and market expansion

As the main completion unit, Donghua University and Linyi Haoquan Silicon Industry Technology Co., Ltd. have achieved rapid implementation from laboratory research and development to industrialization through deep cooperation. The next step is to cooperate with downstream enterprises to develop customized fire prevention solutions, which is expected to drive the industrial chain output value growth of over 1 billion yuan in the next three years.
